Formas de ahorrar
- Lodging is the budget killer - book months ahead, and if your dates flex, the days before the final Fat Tuesday weekend cost less and still deliver real parades.
- Pack snacks and a water bottle for the route; on-site vendor prices add up fast over a multi-hour parade.
- The parades themselves are free - you only pay for grandstand seats or a balcony if you want them. Most people watch from the curb or neutral ground for nothing.
- You can bring your own drinks to the neutral ground (the median), so you do not need to buy every round.
- A DIY costume in purple, green, and gold costs almost nothing and fits in better than anything store-bought.
